Black Friday

So, I was just curious if any of my friends/family were brave enough to venture out on Black Friday? If so, what did you go for? And, what did you actually get? How early did you have to wake up and was it crowded? I didn't even leave my front lawn today. Sad, I know...I am sitting here typing in my pajama pants still. I spent the day cleaning and finishing up some final prepartations for a crazy busy upcoming week full of work, mothering, wifing, and other activities that all seem to be this week....Just pray for my family's sanity!

Nope didn't go shopping. I haven't even started my Christmas shopping. I love days like this. You feel so productive.

In a strange way I actually don't feel as productive as I would have like to feel. Maybe it is because I didn't clean my floors...so it doesn't feel spotless.

I went Black Friday shopping. The main thing I needed to get was a Little Mommy Baby with Potty. I did not want to get this present but, knowing I was getting it $20 off made it easier.

I also got some much-needed clothes for Gabi (all at 70% off).

The stores were SUPER crowded and a tad aggressive.

To put it in perspective, the check-out line for Kohls began by the towels. If you've been in the store you know how crazy that is!

I really have a love/hate with Black Friday. I hate the crowds, hate the hassle. But, I LOVE the deals.

I was still sleeping by the time most deals ended. My husband inadvertantly went Black Friday shopping at Home Depot - ran in to get something for work and came out with a hugely discounted miter saw & stand. He was pretty excited about that. :)

Sadly I did not make it this year because jared had to work. My sister did (got up at 4 am) and said a lady at our walmart here broke her leg when she tried to climb over the carts that were making a barrier so people could not cut in line, and then people got mad and pushed her off the carts, also she said two big guys got in a fist fight. I love black friday just for the people watching, I never need to really get anything but the people watching is priceless.

I went, but that was just because we were staying with Sarah and her family and they wanted to go. We didn't venture out until about 10am. We did find some awesome deals, however! We got clothes, etc, but we also got Brandon the 120G iPod at the Apple store that was on sale for one day only (we saved about $50) and got me a Garmin for UNDER $100! The best part was that we have almost finished our shopping. YAY!
